Notification of results of investigation
45 Notification of results of investigation
(1) After the Commission has
complied with any requirement under section 43, it must notify the parties to
the complaint, in writing, of the results of the investigation.
(2) The
Commission may, at its discretion, also provide the results of its
investigation to: (a) any person or body it could have referred the matter to
under section 26, or
(b) any person to whom it could have given notice under
section 28A of its assessment of the complaint, or
(c) any other person or
body that is, in the Commission’s opinion, a relevant person or body.
(2A)
The Commission may, at its discretion, also give a copy of a report prepared
under section 42 (2) on the matter the subject of the complaint to the
complainant.
(3) Nothing in this section authorises the release of a report
prepared under section 42 (2) otherwise than as provided by subsection (2A) or
section 44, unless the report is released by the Director-General or the
Minister.
